Affectionately known as “Pastor G,” Gennarino DeStefano was born in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating high school in 1975, he spent the next 15 years developing his creativity and gifting in the restaurant business, during which time he attended the New York Restaurant Culinary School.
In 1989, Gennarino met Jesus and was born again at Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale in Florida. In the following year, he met and married his wife, Margaret, and became part of staff at the church as a new believer. In 1995, he was ordained as an associate pastor at CCFTL. Over his 15 years in full-time ministry, he had the privilege of serving at one of the fastest growing mega churches in the Country. From pastoral care to leadership recruiting and development, his ministry career provided a unique education and helped develop a skill set that he strives to use wherever God places him.
Although he has been privileged to work with thousands of people through the years, he considers his greatest contribution to be the time spent personally training several young men who lived with him and his wife in their home, and who have now moved into full-time ministry and enjoy successful marriages.
Born and raised in South Florida, Margaret DeStefano spent time during 1972 until 1990 working as an administrative assistant/paralegal for several prominent law firms. From 1990 until 2005, she served as Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor at Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale, where she became a liaison for the staff of 750 people and a church of 25,000 congregants. During her tenure of 15 years with that organization, she collaborated on multiple writing projects, including hundreds of devotionals and several books, taught women’s Bible studies, conferences, and workshops. She has spent the last few years serving as a virtual assistant, correspondence specialist and media consultant for Potter’s Field Ministries in Montana.

While raising her children, she also hosted international students in her home as a mission field.
